Middle Years Learning Design & Instructional Coaching
I design learning experiences for middle school students that center identity, voice, and real-world thinking, while supporting teachers in bringing that work to life in their classrooms.
The Power of Perspectives Unit
This is a snapshot of a middle school language arts unit I designed around perspective, identity, and how we make meaning from the stories we read and hear.
Students engage with complex texts, discuss their thinking, and create work that reflects their evolving understanding, not just what they can recall.
These are examples of how students show their thinking across different units.
I’m big on giving students multiple ways to process and express understanding—visual, written, and discussion-based—because that’s where you start to see what they actually know and how they’re making sense of it.
Student Learning In Action
Coaching & Teacher Support
I designed and presented this professional learning experience to support educators working toward trauma-informed certification. The focus is on helping teachers understand the connection between identity, belonging, and student experience, and translating that into practical classroom practices.
