Our Roots Manager Role: Portfolio Artifacts
Artifact 1: My Lived Experiences as a Black Mama
I’m a storyteller. These stories were part of my healing. Now, they’re part of my work. I live, lead, and learn with love and vulnerability.
Artifact 2: Culture of Belonging Toolkit
I’m a builder.
A builder of learning experiences and of spaces where people feel like they belong. As a product of second language acquisition through immersion education, I know firsthand that language is identity, access, and power. That’s why TalkingPoints’ mission speaks to me! I’ve spent over a decade working in classrooms, districts, and nonprofits to create learning experiences rooted in equity and connection. Whether through coaching, training, or strategy. I bring an eye for digestible content, a strong facilitation voice, and deep respect for the communities we serve.
Trauma-Informed Certification Session Slide Deck & Materials
Description: I created this slide deck to present to a group of principals, teachers, and mental health staff working toward a trauma-informed certification at Cal State East Bay. It breaks down how identity, trauma, and belonging are connected, and offers practical ways educators can create more inclusive, affirming spaces for the students they serve.
Artifact #3: Autism Doula Training & Family Resource Tools
Description: I designed these tools to support an organization that uplifts the Black autism community. I created learning materials for autism doulas to guide them in their work, and family-facing resources to help families navigate the complexities of working with a doula and starting the journey after an autism diagnosis. These tools break down complex systems into clear, actionable steps and are designed to be accessible and easy to engage with.
